Shahien Ishmail
Shahien Ishmail has extensive experience in the design and management of construction projects such as repair and maintenance projects (RAMP) for various prisons and harbours, housing projects and warehouses. These included feasibility studies and project administration, project financing, budgeting, and compilation of tender documentation.

Shahien is also experienced in managing programmes such as data collection projects and expanded public works programmes, which include the overall project coordination and stakeholder management for consultants, government and local authorities. Shahien is registered as a professional construction project manager.
Jones Moloisane
Jones Moloisane
Jones Moloisane specialises in road-pavement design and rehabilitation, and road-management systems, including areas such as road-condition assessments, pavement analysis and economic analysis. His experience extends to transportation planning and traffic engineering, labour-intensive construction techniques, site supervision and contract management. Jones has gained international experience in countries such as Zambia, Namibia, Lesotho, Swaziland and Mozambique. Jones serves in various voluntary associations to enhance the civil engineering profession and has published papers and publications. He is a lecturer at the Tshwane University of Technology and the University of Johannesburg. He serves on various committees of the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA). Jones completed a MTech (Civil) (Transportation Engineering) (cum laude) in 2002 and a MSc (Civil) (Transportation Technology) in 2009. Jones is registered as a professional engineering technologist.

Walter Ringelmann has extensive experience in electro-mechanical control systems, airport systems (including cargo, baggage, navigation and IT systems), power distribution, systems and interface management. Walter was the project manager for the material-handling systems at two major air cargo terminals, namely the Asia Airfreight Terminal at the new Hong Kong Airport and the Ethiopia Airlines Cargo Terminal in Addis Ababa.

Walter was consortium leader for the engineering, procurement and construction of the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport and is team leader for the master planning and client engineering support of the King Shaka International Airport. Walter is registered as a professional engineer.
Leon van Biljon
Leon van Biljon
Leon van Biljon specialises in infrastructure and building development management, from project inception to commissioning. He has been responsible for agricultural, commercial, mining and aviation projects in South Africa and other African countries. In addition to project management, he provides specialist input for infrastructure master planning, with specific reference to the provision of phased capacity in balance with forecast demand.

Notable projects that he has worked on include Dube TradePort and Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport. Leon is registered as a professional engineer.

Magda van Es
Magda van Es specialises in project management of multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects. Magda acted as the National Programme Manager for the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP), managing learnerships for Labour Intensive Construction.

She is a specialist in employment creation programmes and has been involved in numerous other projects, including the CETA-NSF projects to address skills shortages and lack of skills training in the nine provinces of South Africa; the development of a manual for physical resources planners for the Department of Education; the development of a national database for monitoring of the Rural Anti-Poverty Programme and a database system for management of capital works projects for the South African Air Force and Department of Public Works. Magda holds a BEng (Civil).
Daan Veldtma
Daan Veldtman
Daan Veldtman has 37 years of experience at the National Department of Public Works, serving amongst other for 25 years in the Civil Engineering Design and Construction Directorate and 12 years as a Project Manager and Director of Special and Major Projects.

Daan was responsible for a portfolio of 740 projects, which included an innovative Repair and Maintenance Programme (RAMP). This programme led to Daan being awarded an IMFA Public Service Award for Inspiring Success Leadership and Breaking New Ground, as well as the SANRAL-SAICE SMART AWARD for Maintenance of Facilities. Daan's area of expertise is the design and development of infrastructure, including civil infrastructure earthworks, stormwater, roads, water purification and wastewater treatment services. Daan is registered as a professional construction project manager and a professional engineering technologist.
